DUE TO WEDNESDAY’S STORMS AND FRIDAYS FORECAST, DREAM EVENTS HAS DECIDED TO POSTPONE FRIDAY’S GAME OF FAME AT INVESCO FIELD AT MILE HIGH WITH JOHN ELWAY AND JOE MONTANA. THE GAME HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2004, AT 7:00 P.M.  ALL TICKETS ALREADY PURCHASED WILL BE GOOD FOR THE RESCHEDULED DATE.

Elway To Face Montana One More Time

Governor Bill Owens presented an official proclamation at a press conference declaring Friday, August 20, 2004, as “John Elway Football Celebration Day” commemorating the legendary quarterback’s entry in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In addition to Governor Owens was John Elway, Ed McCaffrey, Chuck Morris of Clear Channel Entertainment were also in attendance. Dan Reeves and Joe Montana spoke via conference call. The press conference was held on Bronco turf at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Both Elway and Montana are looking forward to playing their first and last game at Invesco Field at Mile High as is Dan Reeves who will be at the game contributing what he can to make the challenge more intriguing to both teams. “It will be a lot of fun. I wouldn’t miss it for anything,” commented Reeves by phone. Elway added in jest, “I hope Dan understands that it will be me calling the plays…”

Rosters of both teams were confirmed as well as a concert announced by Chuck Morris of Clear Channel Entertainment. “This band is one of best up and comers on the country circuit… besides, country and football go together.” Country greats, DIAMOND RIO, will be performing following the game.

“A GAME OF FAME “ will feature a four quarter flag football game between John Elway and his BRONCOS All Star Team vs. Joe Montana and his NFL All Star Team.

A special collector’s edition John Elway bobble head will be given away to all those in attendance of the event. Fans will have access to a pre-game autograph session with the players, and post-game concert with country music stars DIAMOND RIO.

“This is my chance to say thanks to all the fans who can’t be in Canton, Ohio, on August 8, for the induction. This is the best for everybody who shared and cheered us on during that wonderful journey into history. I am delighted to be able to play,” said Elway.

All tickets are reserved at $35.00. The Friday, August 20th event line-up includes a free autograph session with the players from 5 – 6 PM, reserved seating to the four-quarter flag football game will begin at 7 PM.
